Carefully crushing it as finely as he could, he cautiously took the glittering powder and spread it over the stock of the Musketeer’s gun. On Friday, Sarmenti spent a few of his precious coins to purchase a single piece of the Farmstead’s crystal. Which was not to the joy of the Abomination who had to wash all the linen once more. It looked as if a visitor of the sea had taken a dip. ![]() Splashed over the laundry bucket where many clothes were still being cleaned but not watched. On Thursday, the Jester went to the beach and collected various sea shells, algae and a waterskin of salt water. The shriek of the erudite when she thought her samples contaminated nearly made him break his composure and laugh out loud, alas he still had 4 more days. On Wednesday he picked up some dirt and mushrooms from the edge of the forest, spreading them in a line up to the Plague Doctor’s door as if some creature of the Weald had crawled its way to it. The rattle it emitted once shaken drew the Crusader to run to the Abbey and pray day in and day out, begging to be freed of the “curse” befalling him. On Tuesday, Sarmenti went to collect a bunch of abandoned bones near the old road, tossing them in a rucksack with plenty of empty space, adding in a few rusty pieces of metal in it for better effect. His frantic whippings quickening in pace. Emitting that aggravating tune around the Penance hall clearly seemed to agitate the local Flagellant. On monday, he spent hours whittling a whistle, making sure it would imitate the maddening whine of the Courtyard’s bloodsuckers. ![]() Thankfully he had an entire hamlet as an audience, and he knew just what to do to get a reaction out of them. His role as a jester meant that he had been trained all his life to shake up the status quo and break the monotony and without a purpose he felt like madness was about to get a grip on his mind. Sarmenti had not been taken to this week’s expedition and as such, was afflicted with boredom as he waited for the return of the heir from their latest expedition. ![]()
